Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2, 2026
This policy explains what Bell Prepper keeps about you, why, and what you can do about it. In short: your recipes are yours, there are no ads and no tracking, and we never sell your information.
Your recipes live on your device
Bell Prepper keeps your recipes and photos on your device, and works without an internet connection. If you use the trial version without signing in, your recipes and photos never leave your device. When you sign in with a purchase, a copy is kept on our servers to back them up and sync them between your devices.
What we keep
- Your Google account: an ID number, your email address, your name and a link to your profile picture. We never see or keep your Google password.
- Your recipes: titles, ingredients, steps, notes, ratings, categories, photos, and your theme and color choices.
- Your devices: the name and type of each signed-in device (for example “Kitchen PC, Windows”) and when it was last used, so you can see and sign out your devices.
- Your purchases: which platform you bought, which store sold it, the store’s transaction number, and the dates of any purchase, refund or chargeback.
What we don’t collect
Bell Prepper has no ads, and doesn’t use any analytics or advertising services. It doesn’t use your location or your contacts, and doesn’t follow you across other apps or websites.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your recipes in sync between your devices.
- To check that you’ve bought Bell Prepper for a platform.
- To help you when you ask us for support.
- To count, in total, how many devices use Bell Prepper on each platform, so we know where to focus. These counts never name you.
- To handle refunds and chargebacks, prevent fraud, and keep the records the law requires for accounting.
We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
We use a few companies to run Bell Prepper. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare stores your account, recipes and photos on its servers.
- Google handles signing in, and purchases made on Google Play.
- Microsoft handles purchases made on the Microsoft Store.
- Our payment provider handles purchases made on our website. We never see your card details.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Where your information is stored
We’re based in the United States, and Cloudflare stores your information in its data centers, which may be in a different country from yours. Wherever you live or travel, the same protections in this policy apply.
How it’s protected
Everything is encrypted while it travels between your device and our servers, and Cloudflare encrypts it where it’s stored. Sign-in sessions are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form.
Your recipes are not end-to-end encrypted, which means we could technically read them. This lets us help you recover your recipes and means you never have a recovery key to lose. We only ever look at your content when you ask us to (for example, for support), when the law requires it, or to act on a report of illegal content.
How long we keep it
- While you have an account, we keep your recipes for as long as you want them, even if you stop using the app for a while.
- If a refund or chargeback leaves your account owning no platform, the copy of your recipes on our servers is kept for 90 days, in case you come back, and is then permanently deleted. The recipes on your devices stay. You can delete your account sooner yourself at any time.
- If you delete your account, your recipes, photos and personal information are deleted immediately.
What’s kept after you delete your account
A few small records are kept so that deleting works properly and purchases can be honored. None of them include your name, email address or recipes:
- Your purchase record (a scrambled account ID, platform, store, transaction number and dates), so you won’t have to buy Bell Prepper again if you come back, and for accounting.
- A record that the account was deleted, with a scrambled form of your Google ID, so that a device that was offline at the time erases its copy of your recipes rather than syncing them back.
- Scrambled copies of your devices’ sign-in sessions, for 90 days, so each of your devices learns that the account was deleted.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of your information and recipes.
- Correct information that’s wrong.
- Delete your account and information. You can also do this yourself from Settings → Account.
We’ll answer within a month. You don’t need to have a current purchase to ask.
Children
Bell Prepper isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. For a change that matters, we’ll let you know in the app first.
